As an avid traveler my entire life, I’ve learned the value of top travel resources. From packing essentials to budget car rentals and air transportation, it’s always easier to have a list set out in front of you.
These are the resources I use and love. I would never recommend something I do not believe in.

DAILY DROP PRO This used to be called FareDrop and it’s an awesome tool that shows you, not only the cheapest flights for the airport of your choice (140+ airlines), but hotel and transportation deals as well. You can set up your preferred airports and receive alerts for deals that can be as much as 80% off!
Best Accommodations
BOOKING.COM: Great place to explore when seeking hotels or B&B’s in a new town or city.
HOTELS.COM: This is my go-to site just because I’ve used it so long. You get a free stay after 10 bookings, which as really added up for me over the years. I also belong to the Hilton Honors program which helps me get free nights.
VRBO: I love to check Vacation Rental By Owner and have found some awesome unique properties that are often cheaper than a hotel room.
What To Pack
I have a new “Number One Thing” to pack for a road trip and that is the LIMITLESS JumpSmart 10-in-one Multi-Tool. Because I travel solo, I already have a small jump-starter, but this thing combines other tools all in one, including serving as a power bank, a flashlight, an SOS alarm, thermometer and compass. It looks like a flashlight and will start your car!
The second most important thing I pack is my OLIGHT Ark Pro rechargeable flashlight. I know most people don’t get excited by flashlights, but this one has it all. It’s attractive (mine is Nebula Violet), it’s small, it’s light — and it’s rechargeable! It’s not something you think you’ll need on a road trip, but it’s so nice to have when you need it!
WATER BOTTLE: There are a lot of different water bottles out there, but My Bevi really impressed me when I left a bottle (the Outlander) in a truck on a 95-degree day and still had ice when I returned!
Of course, on Amazon, you can find just about anything you need to travel or camp.

CLOTHING/SHOES
SCOTTeVEST: I can’t carry a purse or I will kill my back so I need pockets! ScotteVest lets you carry everything… I mean everything.
COMBAT FLIP-FLOPS: I am a flip-flop expert because when I travel in the summer, I do a lot of flip-flop walking (like 5-7 miles). Combat Flip-Flops are veteran owned and operated. I love them!
SIGHTSEEING/TOURS
VIATOR: My go-to place when looking for a tour in a new city or town.
GETYOURGUIDE: Another place to find tours, especially outside the U.S.
CITY SIGHTSEEING: If you’re traveling to a city that offers these hop on-hop off buses, I encourage you do it. You really learn a lot about the destination.
RV RENTALS
RVSHARE: Can’t wait to give this a try, and thought it worth a mention. Why drive your own car when you can rent an RV?

PHONES
For a great travel phone with one of the best cameras, I use the Samsung S23 Ultra. (Carrying a camera kills my back, so this is a great alternative).
GENERATORS/POWER STATIONS
ECOFLOW: For peace of mind, it’s nice to have a small power station when you travel, and being able to use solar power is a bonus.
JACKERY: I like that they have lots of options and sizes available, from whole-house generators to camping and traveling units.
